Chesterfield have been charged with fielding an ineligible player in the 1-0 victory over MK Dons on Saturday.
The Spirites fielded Georg Margreitter, on loan from Wolves, in the FA Cup second round victory, though it is alleged that paper work wasn’t submitted to allow him to play.
A statement from MK Dons read: “The FA has made the Club aware of an allegation that Chesterfield fielded an ineligible player in the FA Cup second-round fixture on Saturday. The Club will respectfully await the FA’s decision before making any further comment.”
Chesterfield have until Thursday to answert the charge.
