AFTER scoring a fabulous hat-trick in MK Dons’ 4-1 victory at Bury, Dean Bowditch admitted he was still playing with a shoulder injury.
The popular front man didn’t feature in Tuesday’s home draw against Notts County, but returned to the starting line-up in emphatic style to get Dons back to winning ways on the road.
He said: “I feel absolutely fantastic. We came here knowing our away record hasn’t been going that well.
“We were desperate to get a result here. Hat-trick or not, the most important thing was that we got a win.
“We have been working in training on finishing, with Wrighty (Ian Wright) helping us out. It’s just about making good contact, and to see the first goal go into the bottom corner was fantastic.
“It was touch and go whether or not I was going to play. The gaffer wanted me to play from a defensive point of view, so to get some minutes was important, and the goals were a bonus.”
