Dele Alli encouraged Tottenham to consider Stadium MK as an alternative venue for their Carabao Cup clash with Watford next week.
With White Hart Lane still not complete, Mauricio Pochettino's side will play their match against the Hornets in Milton Keynes next Wednesday.
Dele came through the youth system at MK Dons before departing for Spurs in 2015 and hasn't played at Stadium MK since winning promotion to the Championship in the 5-1 win over Yeovil.
But when he heard a return to his home town was on the cards, he admitted he was all for it.
"I heard the rumours that it could be a possibility and I tried to push for it as much as I could!" he said.
"It will be a great experience going back there, it will be nice for the boys to see it as well, I've been bigging it up since I got here, saying how good the stadium is.
"It's a bit different to Wembley, but it's still a great stadium to play at."
