Player ratings vs Walsall:

David Martin - 7 - An onlooker for the most part, but kept up appearances with a penalty save.

Lee Hodson - 7 - Rattled a shot wide going forward, but fairly untroubled at the back.

Dean Lewington - 7 - Played McLeod in for the third of the afternoon but like Hodson, not wasn’t tested at the back.

Antony Kay - 8 - In tough conditions, won everything in the air. Dominant.

Jordan Spence - 7 - With Kay winning the battle in the air, Spence was happy to mop up everything else.

Stephen Gleeson - 7 - Tenacious as ever, battled hard in midfield.

Darren Potter - 7 - Threw himself into some tackles, not usually his strong point but the midfield play went askew in the second half.

Samir Carruthers - 7 - Fought hard, floated inside from his wide start. Keen to get involved.

Daniel Powell - 7 - Looked much more like the Powell of past.

Ben Reeves - 7 - As ever, looked tricky, tough to mark and comfortable on the ball.

Izale McLeod - 9 - Superb. Finally showed what he is capable of. Two goals and won a penalty.

George Baldock - Too late to make an impact.

Ryan Hall - Showed promise late on.

Luke Chadwick - A late change for McLeod.
