Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker has signed for MK Dons on loan until the end of the season.
The England U21 international scored 26 goals for club and country last season, and was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last month, making four appearances for the Owls.
Earlier this week, Tottenham confirmed Dele Alli would be out for around six weeks, prompting Dons boss Karl Robinson to move for the Luton-born Baker.
“Lewis is one of the most gifted young midfielders in England,” said Robinson. “I’m looking forward to working with him for the rest of the season.
“Obviously with Dele (Alli) out for up to six weeks, Lewis gives us another option in midfield. He also knows where the goal is too, which is clear by the amount he scored last season - a great achievement at any age level.
“I am confident that this addition will give us a real push at an important time in the season.”
Baker goes straight into the squad to face Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.
