Player ratings vs Port Vale

David Martin - 6 - Helpless for all three goals. Not much else to do.

Dean Lewington - 7 - Had one or two problems in keeping tabs on his man, but added to the attacks well.

Kyle McFadzean - 7 - Dominant for the large part, but was part of a nervy looking defence.

Tom Flanagan - 6 - Made some crunching tackles, but defence never really looked comfortable with the ball in the box.

Jordan Spence - 8 - Excellent at right back, added some muscle going forward. Unlucky to have an own goal against his name.

Mark Randall - 6 - Did the nitty-gritty well.

Ben Reeves - 7 - Tried to inject his technical ability further back in the field. Fared well.

Samir Carruthers - 6 - Won the penalty, but didn’t shine. Still looking to reach his peak.

Carl Baker - 7 - Impressive stuff, but needs to keep his shots down. Well taken goal.

Will Grigg - 7 - Excellent in the first half, but went off the boil in the second. Great movement.

Benik Afobe - 9 - Couldn’t move him off the ball, two well taken goals and an assist. Excellent.

Danny Green - 7 - Scored the winner, decent showing on his return.

Kabongo Tshimanga - Could have scored a brilliant late goal with his first move in the Dons first team. One to watch.
