Dons ratings vs Cardiff City:

David Martin - 8 - Made two excellent saves and numerous others to keep Dons in it.

George Baldock - 7 - Solid at the back on his return, throwing his body on the line late on to keep Cardiff at bay.

Kyle McFadzean - 7 - Looked to put last week’s display to bed with a confident show against two big front men.

Joe Walsh - 7 - Though the new face in the middle, looked a calming influence on the defence.

Dean Lewington - 7 - Unspectacular, kept very much in his own half in the second 45, but was playing in a bog by the end as rain poured down.

Darren Potter - 5 - Failed to really make an impact on a game which didn’t suit his style.

Jake Forster-Caskey - 7 - Battled hard, came close to scoring a couple of times too.

Samir Carruthers - 6 - Tenacious as ever, but with little substance.

Rob Hall - 6 - Looked busy in the first half, but provided little in the second.

Jonny Williams - 6 - Got pushed and shoved to the ground a lot before being replaced.

Nicky Maynard - 6 - Had to do better with his one and only chance.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas - 7 - Tried to make things happen with a few bits of trickery.

Josh Murphy - 7 - Looked a live wire when he came on.

Dean Bowditch - Made a vital block late on.
