Dons ratings vs Coventry: Potter’s back to his best

editorial image

Player ratings vs Coventry City.

Ian McLoughlin - 7 - Didn’t put a foot wrong. Looked confident when Coventry did, albeit rarely, pose a threat.

Dean Lewington - 7 - Never really in trouble.

George Baldock - 7 - More of a threat going forward than he was needed at the back. Put in some excellent balls from wide.

Antony Kay - 8 - Once again, looked unbeatable.

Kyle McFadzean - 8 - Like Kay, never looked like getting beaten.

Darren Potter - 9 - Back to the Potter of old. In control of everything, making big tackles, incredible eye for a pass.

Dele Alli - 7 - Showed signs of his cheek with some bold first half passing and runs.

Dean Bowditch - 7 - Should have done better with one or two of his first half chances. Replaced by Carruthers.

Daniel Powell - 7 - Always a threat in the first half. Fired Dons’ best chance over the top in the second.

Ben Reeves - 7 - Like Bowditch, missed a couple of good chances.

Will Grigg - 6 - Came into the game in the second period, but wasn’t part of it in the opening 45 minutes.

Samir Carruthers - 6 - Tried to stamp some authority on the game, but perhaps tried too hard.

Benik Afobe - 6 - Threw himself about to no avail.

Tom Hitchcock - 6 - Barely touched the ball when he came on.
