Milton Keynes will see action in the 2021 Women's European Championships after UEFA confirmed England was the only nation to submit a bid for the tournament.

Reports suggested Austria and Hungary would lobby for the competition but a bid did not materialise, leaving England the sole bidder.

The FA must still wait until December 3 before being confirmed as the host.

As well as Wembley - which would host the final - the other proposed venues are Brighton's Amex Stadium, Brentford's Community Stadium, Manchester City's Academy Stadium, Notts County's Meadow Lane, Peterborough's Abax Stadium, Rotherham's New York Stadium and Sheffield United's Bramall Lane.
