Tom Flanagan cannot wait to start playing next season after signing a new one-year deal with MK Dons.
The 23-year-old defender found first team opportunities limited behind Antony Kay and Kyle McFadzean, and made just nine appearances for Dons last season before being loaned to Plymouth in January.
Despite the lack of games, Flanagan has signed a new contract for next season, and says he’s excited by the prospect of Championship football.
He said: “I’m more excited than ever to be staying after the promotion.”
“Kyle and Kaysy did brilliantly last season and that probably hindered my opportunities, but I felt I did well when I came in and I’m buzzing for next season.
“I’ve been working hard in the off-season and I want to come back flying.”
Dons boss Robinson said: “Tom is one for the future and I do think he has a great future at this Football Club. His opportunities were limited last season because the other players did so well but when he was called upon he was magnificent.”
