Forest Green Rovers vs MK Dons - LIVE

One minute to be added on

Jordan Moore-Taylor shows no love for his ex-team-mate, sticking him on his backside to earn the first yellow card of the day

40 mins: GOAL! Max Dean does it again!

Oh a horrible mistake from Dom Thompson there gifts Max Dean the opener. The defender looked to play it back to his keeper but gets it all wrong, Dean ghosts in and rolls past Vicente Reyes!

It’s 1-0

38 mins: Lewington caught out

The Dons skipper caught ball-watching there as the ball bounces past him and Garrick gets to the byline to cross but Tucker puts it behind for a corner

35 mins: Dons looking shaky again

They had a bit of a passage, did Dons but they’re just leaving the door ajar for Forest Green to have more of a say in this game.

Ryan Inniss gets a header which he puts well over the bar as Max Dean goes down holding his face after a clash with Osadebe

28 mins: Into the wall

Payne is finally able to take it after some aggro, it’s into the wall before Forest Green eventually get it away

Wearne skips past a couple of challenges, but is tripped on the edge of the box.

Payne range.

22 mins: Forest Green having a spell

After riding out Dons’ early storm, Forest Green are all of a sudden in the driving seat, and Dons can’t seem to get anything to stick.

Jordan Garrick nearly got on the end of a nicely lobbed effort, but with Kelly quick off his line, he put the front man off and he pokes it well wide

20 mins: Out the ground

Lewis Bate’s radar is out of whack there as he sends an effort over the bar, so high it’s out the ground.

16 mins: Doidge gets it wrong

Dons have given Rovers half a sniff in the last couple of minutes, mostly from their own making. A loose ball in midfield allows Osadebe to break through, he slides in Christian Doidge but the striker can’t get his lines right and bobbles through to Kelly

12 mins: Dean puts one over

Dons are well on top here, Bate skipping through the Rovers back line, pulling back for Dean but the striker curls it over

7 mins: Half a chance

Good ball lobbed forwards from Tucker, Dean gets between the centre backs, gets toe to it but Reyes easily gathers.

FGR look plenty happy to sit deep and allow Dons to control this game early on

4 mins: Dons on the front foot

Some shaky defensive stuff from Forest Green early on has given Dons a bit of a sense of it early on. A Payne corner pinged around in the box, Keogh just about able to get it away

Forest Green get the game underway

Two former Dons in the Forest Green side

Familiar faces are in the Rovers team this afternoon from an MK Dons persuasion - both Jordan Moore-Taylor and Richard Keogh start for Steve Cotterill’s men.

Keogh made 21 appearances in the Covid hit 2020/21 season before before signing for Huddersfield Town, while Moore-Taylor helped Dons to promotion in 2018/19, making 41 appearances in his two years at Stadium MK

The goalkeeping conundrum was one which was hanging over Mike Williamson after he swapped Filip Marschall and Michael Kelly on Easter Monday, but the Irishman was back in again for the trip to the New Lawn, as were Dean Lewington and Jack Tucker.

Lewington was making his first start since mid-February when he was sent off against Wrexham. Tucker meanwhile had been out since November with an ankle injury, which required surgery.

Dan Kemp and Cameron Norman are the two to miss out.

TEAM: Kelly, Lewington, Tucker, O'Hora, Harvie, Lofthouse, Payne, Bate, Gilbey, Wearne, Dean

SUBS: Marschall, Norman, Williams, Harrison, Robson, Tezgel, Kemp
