After riding out Dons’ early storm, Forest Green are all of a sudden in the driving seat, and Dons can’t seem to get anything to stick.

Jordan Garrick nearly got on the end of a nicely lobbed effort, but with Kelly quick off his line, he put the front man off and he pokes it well wide

Lewis Bate’s radar is out of whack there as he sends an effort over the bar, so high it’s out the ground.

Dons have given Rovers half a sniff in the last couple of minutes, mostly from their own making. A loose ball in midfield allows Osadebe to break through, he slides in Christian Doidge but the striker can’t get his lines right and bobbles through to Kelly

Dons are well on top here, Bate skipping through the Rovers back line, pulling back for Dean but the striker curls it over

Good ball lobbed forwards from Tucker, Dean gets between the centre backs, gets toe to it but Reyes easily gathers.

FGR look plenty happy to sit deep and allow Dons to control this game early on

Some shaky defensive stuff from Forest Green early on has given Dons a bit of a sense of it early on. A Payne corner pinged around in the box, Keogh just about able to get it away

Familiar faces are in the Rovers team this afternoon from an MK Dons persuasion - both Jordan Moore-Taylor and Richard Keogh start for Steve Cotterill’s men.

Keogh made 21 appearances in the Covid hit 2020/21 season before before signing for Huddersfield Town, while Moore-Taylor helped Dons to promotion in 2018/19, making 41 appearances in his two years at Stadium MK

The goalkeeping conundrum was one which was hanging over Mike Williamson after he swapped Filip Marschall and Michael Kelly on Easter Monday, but the Irishman was back in again for the trip to the New Lawn, as were Dean Lewington and Jack Tucker.

Lewington was making his first start since mid-February when he was sent off against Wrexham. Tucker meanwhile had been out since November with an ankle injury, which required surgery.

Dan Kemp and Cameron Norman are the two to miss out.
