Will Grigg admitted he’d be keen to stay at MK Dons next season, but the decision is out of his hands.
Grigg was top scorer at stadium:mk with 22 goals during his season on loan from Brentford, helping the club to secure promotion to the Championship.
But with his time at the club now at an end, Grigg admitted his future remains unclear, but said he has loved his time at MK Dons.
“I’ve made no secret about loving every minute of my time here,” he said on stage at Dons’ promotion celebration. And when asked if he’d like to stay next season, he said: “You’ll have to ask the big man!” pointing at manager Karl Robinson.
Robinson, who has previously admitted he’d like to sign Grigg on a permanent deal this summer, said the decision is out of his hands.
He said: “We’d like him to be, but it’s not down to us. It’s down to Will Grigg, his people and Brentford. They’re being taken over by a new head coach this summer, so we don’t know where they are.
“We’d like him here 100 per cent, but it has to be right.”
