Grimsby Town vs MK Dons - LIVE

47 mins: Huge let-off

Everyone steps up but Barrington beats the offside trap, he’s through on goal, McGill is off his line, reads the danger and makes himself big and the Grimsby man fires straight into the keeper’s chest

Back underway here in the second-half, MK Dons restart the game

HALF-TIME: Grimsby 1-0 MK Dons

A poor performance for the most part for Dons here. Rose’s goal the difference ultimately, but the hosts were by far the better in the opening half-an-hour.

Dons had a couple of half-chances towards in the run up to the break but the interval has come at the wrong time for them

One minute to be added on

40 mins: Leigh heads over

Good chance for Dons, Sherring’s cross picks him out but Leigh’s header is just over the bar, despite his appeals about a push in the back

38 mins: Tomlinson close

After blasting a free-kick far too deep just a moment ago, Tomlinson this time takes aim on goal, it bounces just wide of goal, and indeed the outstretched leg of Hogan

28 mins: McEachran over the bar

Too easy for Grimsby, not least because McGill’s pass to Lemonheigh-Evans was telegraphed, George McEachran sees McGill miles off his line but can’t find the net.

Dons are just not at the races at all here

25 mins: Leigh forces a save

Decent football from Nemane on the right, brings in Leigh who takes aim from the edge of the box but Jackson Smith gathers with ease

24 mins: Obikwu too strong

Gilbey’s cross is cleared and it’s one-on-one all of a sudden at the other end, Obikwu muscles Sherring out of the way, but drags his shot wide

22 mins: Another free-kick

Dons cannot help but give away free-kicks, offering up yet another chance for Grimsby to pitch a ball into the box. This time, McGill has flap at it to get it away for a corner.

The corner comes in and Obikwu doesn’t get any power on it and McGill gathers

21 mins: Too much on it

Decent move from Dons, their best passing passage of the game, but Tommy Leigh puts too much sauce on the pass, Hogan can’t quite keep it in

16 mins: GOAL - Grimsby lead

A dubiously awarded free-kick, Dons are furious with it, but the free-kick is one from the training ground and Danny Rose is in behind, he slides the ball neatly past McGill to give the hosts the lead

14 mins: Tomlinson fires over

He’s in good goal-scoring form with two in two, but he brings down Offord’s ball about 20 yards out and takes aim quickly but it’s over the bar

10 mins: Settling down

Dons are starting to get into the game a little bit more now after that early flurry for Grimsby.

Nothing really to get excited for for the visitors yet though, and still struggling to make passes in the attacking half but it’s not quite as dangerous at the other end

6 mins: Dons stuck in their own box

Slow start from the visitors, it’s been all Grimsby so far. Obikwu, who scored the only goal in this game last season, rifles a shot on goal which is bravely blocked by Maguire, and then Obikwu swings a heel at it Haaland style which McGill saves

Maguire clears up the line, it looks like a deflection out of play. The Dons man sets up to take the throw, but then all of a sudden the referee change his mind and gives a Grimsby throw

Grimsby get the game underway
