MK Dons return to Stadium MK on Saturday to face a high-flying Fleetwood Town side, who have their sights firmly set on promotion.

Uwe Rosler pipped Dons boss Robbie Neilson to the League 1 Manager of the Month award for January as he led the Cod Army to 13 points from a possible 15 to kick off 2017 in style.

Their tremendous run has seen them climb to fourth in the table, with just one league defeat since November.

"Uwe has them playing really well," said Neilson. "They're on a really good run at the moment, I think they're unbeaten in 14 or 15 now.

"They play 3-5-2, they've got a lot of pace up front. It'll be tough, they're coming here in good form and pushing for automatic promotion."

Dons though have a good record against Fleetwood, and in fact hit them with their biggest defeat of the season.

Wigan loanee Ryan Colclough scored a hat-trick in Dons' 4-1 win last time the sides met.

Ryan Colclough scored a hat-trick at the Hughbury Stadium back in September as Dons ran out 4-1 winners.

In fact, in all three previous meetings between the clubs, Dons have beaten Fleetwood, having won both encounters during the 2014/15 promotion season.

Neilson’s side though go into the game in patchy form, having won one, drawn two and lost one of their last four games on their way to 14th in the table.

Dons could welcome back captain Dean Lewington, who has missed the last four with an ankle injury. The skipper returned to training on Thursday, and Neilson said he expected him to be in contention for a place on Saturday.

Ben Reeves however looks set to remain on the sidelines.
