Defender Curtis Nelson was withdrawn early in the second-half against the Royals, citing an ankle issue which looks set to keep him out against the Hatters, promoting a shake-up at the back, which could be on the cards after last week’s performance.
After being without eight first teamers last week, Warne hinted at a return for three players to the fold this week heading into Saturday’s early kick-off against Luton.
“I’ve got three back since the weekend,” he said. “I’m beginning to see Pato in front of me again so that’ll be good, and a massive help.
“That doesn’t make excuses for last week’s performance because we still had a really strong team out there.
“But if that team doesn’t work, you want it to be as strong as possible behind you (on the bench) so it’s good to have players coming back.”
