Huddersfield midfielder Wiles reportedly close to MK Dons move
The Terriers midfielder is reported to be close to making a move to Milton Keynes
Huddersfield Town midfielder Ben Wiles is understood to be close to completing a move to MK Dons
The 26-year-old is no stranger to Dons boss Paul Warne, having played 193 times for Rotherham from 2017-2023.
Moving from south to west Yorkshire in the summer of 2023 for a ‘significant fee’ Wiles has made more than 100 appearances for the Terriers in two-and-a-half years - 28 of them this season - at the Accu Stadium, scoring 12 times.
Warne admitted he was keen to bring in new recruits this January, and Wiles looks to fit the bill for Dons. In the absence of skipper Alex Gilbey in recent games, and with Will Collar likely out for another three months after suffering a hamstring injury on Boxing Day, Wiles’ attributes as a versatile box-to-box midfielder would fill the void.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed Dons and Huddersfield have agreed a fee for the player, and Warne admitted on Wednesday he hoped he could get players signed ahead of Friday’s FA Cup clash with Oxford, even if they may not be eligible to play in the third round game,
