Karl Robinson has Diego Poyet, Jake Forster-Caskey, Josh Murphy and Rob Hall high on his wishlist after a spectacular show against Blackburn at the weekend.
The four loan players were in total control in the 3-0 win over Rovers, which saw Dons climb to 16th in the table.
Along with Ben Reeves, the average age of the midfield came to just 21. But while he has them at his disposal for now, Robinson would love to have his loan stars stay at stadium:mk on a permanent basis.
“I’d love them to be ours,” he said. “I’d like to go out and get them all, that would give us a fighting chance to be competitive in this league.
“We’ve got to find and sustain players of that ilk, that are ours, if we want to remain at this level.
“I’d love to see what they could all do together.
“Diego Poyet has missed playing alongside Darren Potter I think, but Jake Forster-Caskey has given us tremendous balance in there.
“Josh was sensational (on Saturday). There’s more to come I think. He’s very young.
“The whole midfield were very young. I sometimes wish they had the maturity to see the game out in the right way.”
