With League 1 clubs showing interest in last season's top-scorer, Aneke's services appear to remain at Stadium MK until at least January.

Speaking to the media yesterday, Matt Oakley said Aneke would be welcome in the squad should a deal for his services not come to fruition, but a place in the side would not be a given.

Business for the 25-year-old though was not the only bit of business Dons did on deadline day as Robbie Muirhead headed back to Scotland. With the Scottish transfer deadline still open until midnight tonight, Dumfermline captured the 22-year-old on a permanent deal.

Muirhead signed for Dons from Hearts in January 2017 under boss Robbie Neilson. In 49 apperances, the Scot netted five goals but struggled with form and consistency during his time at Stadium MK.
