The 29-year-old has spent two seasons with Dons after signing from Crawley in summer 2014, and helped Karl Robinson’s side to promotion to the Championship in his first season.

Last year, McFadzean made 44 appearances at the heart of the defence but also made a string of high-profile mistakes as Dons were relegated back to League 1.

Earlier this summer, McFadzean favourited a tweet linking him to boyhood club Sheffield United, but it is understood that Dons would be unwilling to sell the defender to a League 1 rival.

Should McFadzean leave, he would be the fourth centre back to depart this summer, after Antony Kay, Jordan Spence and Matt Upson.
