MK Dons 2-3 Sheffield Wednesday: Dons’ unbeaten run comes to an end

Dons trailing by three goals inside 30 mins left them shellshocked, not really playing too badly. Parrott’s goal gives them a little hope for the second half.

A neat ball over the top has Parrott chasing on, he drops a shoulder to lose Jordan Storey and lifts the ball over the keeper to give Dons a lifeline just before the break.

It’s 3-1

Take a bow, Barry Bannan.

He’s scored from about 35 yards there. Lewington’s header was fairly innocuous and Bannan spots Cumming off his line and launches it over his head into the net.

Wow.

No alarm bells dramatically ringing for MK Dons yet, certainly not on the pitch anyway. Still very patient, calm on the ball. As yet though, still not chances on goal.

First attempt on goal for Dons, but Parrott drags his effort wide of the mark. He was given time on the ball on the edge of the box to turn and hit it left footed but it was never testing Peacock-Farrell in the Owls’ net.

Another corner for Wednesday and another simple finish, this time from Lee Gregory to convert from about six yards out.

Not going to plan for MK Dons here.

Jamie Cumming might be left red-faced with that one as Saido Berahino gives Wednesday the lead.

Short corner, played in and it’s initially cleared but Berahino is about 10 yards out, fires goalwards and it looked as though Cumming had it in his hands but it squirmed through.

A cracking atmopshere inside Stadium MK being made by both sets of supporters who are in full voice early on.

A pretty even opening so far, no chances at either end.
