AFC Wimbledon will return to stadium:mk in August after MK Dons were drawn against them in the first round of the Capital One Cup.
The contentious fixture will be the second time the teams have met since Dons’ move to Milton Keynes in 2004.
Karl Robinson’s side were victorious in that fixture in December 2012, beating the London side 2-1 in the FA Cup second round, courtesy of goals from Stephen Gleeson and Jon Otsemobor.
Dons boss Karl Robinson said: “I understand what it means to both sets of fans and I’m looking forward to the tie.
“I know there will be hype around the game, but we’ll be treating it as any other and, of course, we’ll be looking to progress.
“The way both clubs conducted themselves two years ago was commendable to my knowledge and I hope it will be the same again this time around.”
The tie is set to take place in the week commencing August 11.
