MK Dons 1-0 Portsmouth: Live from Stadium MK
60 mins: Portsmouth knocking on the door
First real bit of action for Andrew Fisher to have to deal with, keeping out John Marquis low to his left.
50 mins: A scrappy start from Dons
Not quite as fluid and free-flowing as they were in the first half so far, but Dons are getting their feet back under the table again after a decent start to the half by Portsmouth.
O’Riley though has been excellent at the start of this half, mopping up in front of the defence really well.
HALF TIME: MK Dons 0-0 Portsmouth
What a cracking half of football. Both sides have gone for it, but it has been Dons who have had the better chances. Gavin Bazunu in the Pompey goal though is the difference, making saves from Parrott, Twine and Darling, while Boateng has hit the post for the hosts too.
A really great advert for League One football, that.
34 mins: Wonderful save from Bazunu again
Parrott wonders what he has to do to get a goal in this one as Bazunu once again does brilliantly to deny him. Fed the ball by Twine, Parrott opens up his body to bend it right footed into the far corner, but the keeper flies to his left to get a palm on it.
POST! 30 mins: Close from Boateng
The ball comes to Boateng, he looks like he’s lost it but he collects the ball again on the edge of the box, takes a touch before bending a left-footed effort and it thumps the bottom of the post.
Harry Darling then tests Bazunu from the resultant corner who makes a great save to deny him.
25 mins: Both sides cancelling each other out
It’s not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but both sides really are matching each other blow for blow at the moment. Final balls are tempting but the keepers are having relatively comfortable afternoons so far.
Fisher has been the busier in the last 5-10 minutes or so, but he’s not really had much to do other than gather high balls into the box.
17 mins: Portsmouth should be ahead
Great opportunity for Reeco Hackett-Fairchild as the ball is whipped into his path by Marcus Harness but he heads down into the ground and it bounces high over Andrew Fisher’s cross bar.
It’s the first real sight Portsmouth have had of MK Dons’ goal.
10 mins: All about Parrott
He’s come back into the side and Parrott has been sensational in these opening 10 minutes. Everything Dons have done has gone through him, and he has been the most dangerous player on the park.
Got into a terrific spot on the edge of the box to be picked out by Tennai Watson, but he just leant back and sent it over the bar.
Really good game so far.
