Part 1: July 14, 2015 - Wigan sign Will Grigg

Striker Will Grigg spend the 2014/15 season on loan at stadium:mk from Brentford. Grigg finished the season top scorer, firing in 20 goals as Dons secured promotion to the Championship.

With fans desperate for the permanent signing of the 23-year-old, Dons were unable to pull the trigger and were beaten to the punch by Wigan Athletic, who had just been relegated from the Championship.

Grigg has scored 21 league goals for the Latics this season and they look set for an immediate return to the second tier, while his former club have scored just 35 goals between them.

Two weeks earlier, Dons returned to pre-season training with three new faces: Cody Cropper, Dale Jennings and Simon Church. Jennings was released in January having failed to make the first team, while striker Church misfired during his time at stadium:mk, finding the back of the net just twice in the first half of the season.
