Karl Robinson downplayed his role in finally winning Manager of the Month at the third time of asking.
The Dons boss won the gong for January having missed out in November and December, while Dele Alli completed a memorable month by landing the Player of the Month award.
January has been a notoriously difficult period for Dons in recent years, but the club have gone unbeaten in the opening month of 2015, a run which saw them climb into the automatic promotion spots and even sit top of the pile for 24 hours.
But while Robinson’s name has gone on the award, he said he was reluctant to take the praise.
He said: “We don’t really want to receive the awards because it’s not about us, but it’s about everyone. We’re a team that’s together. It’s not just because of me though. These players mean so much to me, and I’d do anything for them.
“Everyone has done well in January, especially with me being stuck in the stands. It shows that it’s not just he quad, but the staff doing the right things. We’re all working as hard as we can to fulfil our dreams.”
