Oxford United 1-0 MK Dons - Back-to-back defeats for MK Dons

Oxford have shown more in the first three minutes of the second half than they did in the whole of the first.

Harry Darling was moments from disaster when he didn’t realise Taylor was lurking behind him, but Cumming does brilliantly to deny him.

Oxford restart the game for the second half. No changes for either side at the interval.

As good as Dons have been for a few weeks, but it’s goal-less at the break. Parrott had one cleared off the line, Lewington with an effort too while nothing for Cumming to do at the other end.

While it has continued to be one-way traffic with no real clear-cut opportunities here...

It has been all MK Dons so far. They’re playing some excellent stuff, forcing Oxford to chase with little reward except the ironic cheers from the home fans when they occasionally get a touch.

He hasn’t scored for ages but he almost did here at Oxford! Dean Lewington pressed up high and won the ball on the edge of the box, shaped for the top corner but Stevens held on to this strike.
