Player ratings vs Brentford:

David Martin - 6 - Poor distribution in the first half, but couldn’t do much about the goals.

Dean Lewington - 5 - Caught up field far too often in the first half, leaving the rest of the defence exposed. Should have done better in dealing with Donaldson for the first goal.

Lee Hodson - 6 - Good strike to pull one back in the second half, but didn’t seem at the races in the first 45 minutes.

Jordan Spence - 7 - Overcame a shaky opening half and looked much stronger in the second.

Shaun Williams - 6 - Missed the initial header to allow Donaldson in for the opener. Looked uneasy.

Alan Smith - 5 - Early booking aside, was anonymous while he was on the pitch. Replaced by the much more active Alli.

Darren Potter - 6 - Looked a bit lost without Gleeson alongside him.

Ben Reeves - 7 - Tried to work his magic in behind Bamford, but Brentford’s defence held firm.

Samir Carruthers - 7 - Looked good in the centre of the park while everything seemed to fall apart around him in the first period. Quiet in the second.

Dale Jennings - 6 - Couldn’t bring his decent form from Crawley with him. Stops and starts, but no end product.

Patrick Bamford - 7 - Carved himself some half-decent chances, but will be kicking himself after a couple of astounding misses.

Dele Alli - 7 - Made a huge difference in the middle, replacing Smith.

George Baldock - 6 - Rattled around in the midfield, causing trouble for Brentford.

Top Don: Ben Reeves.
