Player ratings vs Coventry City: Gleeson bosses the midfield

Player ratings vs Coventry City:

Ian McLoughlin - 6 - Another three let in, but can’t be blamed for any of them. Made some excellent saves.

Dean Lewington - 6 - Solid, bullish, but got caught up field on too many occasions in the second half.

Lee Hodson - 6 - Effective if not spectacular.

Shaun Williams - 7 - Dealt with Dagnall well for the large part. Another well taken penalty.

Jordan Spence - 6 - Helped keep Coventry quiet.

Darren Potter - 6 - Threw himself into some strong tackles and broke up play nicely.

Stephen Gleeson - 8 - Like the Gleeson of old. Showed up all over the park, making vital plays and interceptions.

Ben Reeves - 6 - Looked eager, and tenacious.

Dale Jennings - 7 - Impressive debut, not afraid to get stuck in.

Daniel Powell - 5 - Showed glimpses of form, but they were few and far between.

Patrick Bamford - 6 - Had little service and had to drop deep to get involved.

Dele Alli - 6 - Came on in the middle of the Coventry onslaught.

Alan Smith - Tried to add muscle up front, but didn’t see much of the ball.

Samir Carruthers - Came on too late to have an influence.
