Player ratings as MK Dons took on Preston North End

David Martin - 7 - Wrong stud choice on a wet pitch perhaps, but was unlucky to be beaten twice by defensive errors. Otherwise, continues his good start to the campaign.

Lee Hodson - 7 - Another good showing. Gave another attacking threat up the right.

Shaun Williams - 8 - Not a vintage Williams performance at left back, but was part of an awful lot of what Dons did right. His mistake led to Preston’s first though.

Antony Kay - 6 - Dealt with the big threat of Davies, but could do nothing about hte own goal. Sold Martin up short too as Dons looked dodgy at the ack.

Jon Otsemobor - 6 - Was at fault for the second goal, but was much more assured in the second half.

Dele Alli - 5 - Not what we’ve come to expect of the teenager. Looked off-colour in the first half. Replaced early in the second.

Stephen Gleeson - 6 - Box-to-box, but lacked the normal impact.

Darren Potter - 5 - Didn’t look at the races at all. Misplaced passes and a general lack of involvement.

Jason Banton - 7 - Looked Dons’ best player on the pitch until he was replaced. Applauded off by the home fans for his wonder goal.

Patrick Bamford - 7 - After a mediocre first half, was much improved in the second. Unlucky not to net the winner late on but saw his chance just wide.

Izale McLeod - 6 - Had a couple of chances.

Luke chadwick - 7 - Changed the complexion of the game and was involved in almost everything

Samir Carruthers - 7 - Looked impressive in his first outing. Cut down for the penalty.
