Player Ratings vs Shef Utd: Hodson stands out in turgid match

Player ratings vs Sheffield United

David Martin - 6 - Had very little to do. Made a good stop from McMahon’s free kick.

Lee Hodson - 8 - Brilliant at the back. So strong shielding the ball to safety.

Shaun Williams - 6 - Comfortable if not spectacular.

Antony Kay - 7 - Ghosted in at the far post to head in the winner. Fairly untroubled at the back too.

Dean Lewington - 6 - Looked a little out of sorts in his return.

Stephen Gleeson - 6 - Part of the midfield scrap which resulted in such a dull affair.

Darren Potter - 6 - Smothered from doing his usual job.

Jason Banton - 6 - Made little impact, despite trying hard to get involved.

Samir Carruthers - 6 - Floated around in midfield, picking up fouls for his troubles.

Patrick Bamford - 7 - Looked lively, but not really used to dealing with long balls lumped to him.

Izale McLeod - 6 - An early miss was his only highlight in a tough game for the attackers.

Luke Chadwick - 6 - Struggled to make an impact

Dele Alli - 6 - Tried to drive Dons on, but to no avail

George Baldock - 6 - Added some spice to the right flank, but late in the day.
