Player ratings vs Sheffield United:

David Martin - 6 - Didn’t need to make many saves, but could do nothing about the goal.

Dean Lewington - 7 - With the rest of the back four, unlucky to be on the losing side after a decent showing.

George Baldock - 7 - Wasn’t beaten down his flank. Another good performance.

Antony Kay - 7 - Kept a lid on United’s strike force.

Jordan Spence- 7 - Won a lot in the air, was good along the ground too.

Dele Alli - 8 - Took over in the playmaker role, and took to it brilliantly. Was part of everything.

Ben Reeves - 6 - Not at his best in the more defensive role.

Luke Chadwick - 5 - Still hasn’t found his touch since returning from injury. Replaced after half time.

Larnell Cole - 6 - Struggled to get involved in the game.

Daniel Powell - 5 - Another ineffective performance. Replaced after half time.

Izale McLeod - 7 - Threw himself about and got involved with a lot. Had a couple of half chances.

Alan Smith - 7 - Changed the game when he came on. Won a lot in the air, and was a real handful.

Ryan Hall - 6 - Not as effective as Odelusi or Smith, but helped shift the momentum of the game.

Sanmi Odelusi - 8 - Looked threatening, won a lot of headers and scared the United defence when he came on.
