Player Ratings vs Sunderland: Brilliant Bamford

Player ratings vs Sunderland

Ian McLoughlin - 7 - Unlucky to be on the receiving end of four goals. Was a strong presence throughout otherwise.

George Baldock - 7 - Put in some serious miles up and down the right flank from defence.

Antony Kay - 7 - Didn’t really look in trouble against the powerful Altidore.

Shaun Williams - 7 - No troubles against Ji, and could even take a few ranging runs forward.

Ben Reeves - 6 - Mugged on the edge of the box to put his side in trouble, but was unlucky to deflect the third own into his own net.

Stephen Gleeson - 7 - Another strong, battling performance.

Alan Smith - 6 - Made a few deft touches and clever passes.

Dele Alli - 6 - Looked more comfortable than he did at Preston. Confident on the ball going forward.

Patrick Bamford - 8 - Excellent goal to get things going. Was a bag of tricks that Sunderland couldn’t contain.

Izale McLeod - 7 - No signs of rust in front of goal as he took his chance expertly.

Jon Otsemobor - 6 - None of the goals could be blamed on him.

Jason Banton - 6 - Couldn’t contribute much.

Luke Chadwick - 6 - Came on in attack when Sunderland began to turn it on.
