Darren Potter could return to the first team this weekend after overcoming a knee injury.
Ruled out since early September, the influential ringleader of the Dons circus is touch-and-go for the game against Blackburn Rovers at stadium:mk on Saturday.
But wary of previous injuries to the 30-year-old, manager Karl Robinson is understandibly cautious.
“Darren Potter may be fit to play on Saturday, but we don’t want to rush him back,” said Robinson. “In years gone by, we’d have done that.
“I’ve got a big decision to make, because we’ve got Samir Carruthers back from suspension now too.
“It gives us a good opportunity, from a medical perspective, not to rush back some of our more experienced players.”
