Avoiding the scoreline at Deepdale on Saturday will be impossible, Karl Robinson has conceded, even though he’d like to steer clear of it.
Dons take on Rochdale at Spotland with the automatic promotion battle still hanging in the balance with two games remaining.
Preston play Swindon at Deepdale, going into the game just a point ahead of Dons.
But while Robinson wants to concentrate on the matter at hand by beating Rochdale, he admits avoiding the goings on in Preston will be impossible to avoid.
“It’ll be hard not to know - how can you not?” he said. “I’ll tell you now, some fan will be stood behind me saying ‘Preston are winning!’
“In years gone by, you could get away without knowing, but in the modern world with all the technology there are so many different means of finding out the scores that it’s inevitable.
“I think our fans may celebrate if Swindon score. If we’ve got a corner and all of a sudden they start celebrating, something might have happened at Deepdale!”
