DONS boss Karl Robinson and midfielder Luke Chadwick will find out today whether or not they have won their respective League 1 awards.
The accolades would be the icing on the cake of what was a terrific first month of the season for Dons, with Robinson nominated for the manager of the month award for August, and Chadwick for player of the month.
After leading Dons to top spot in League 1, Robinson – still the Football League’s youngest manager at 31 – is nominated for the award alongside Chris Powell of Charlton Athletic, Danny Wilson of Sheffield United and Tranmere Rovers boss Les Parry.
Chadwick scored four goals in all competitions in August, including a memorable double in Dons’ famous Carling Cup win at Norwich.
The 30-year-old is up against strong competition from Sheffield United midfielder Steven Quinn, Preston’s Graham Alexander and Sheffield Wednesday striker Ryan Lowe, recently signed from Bury.
