GOAL 56 mins: Shrewsbury take the lead

Dons have their work cut out now as Shrewsbury take the lead. Dan Udoh should have been dealt with by both Kasumu and O’Hora but he battles on to give it to Whalley well beyond the defensive line. With Bowman in support, he goes it alone and smashes it into the roof of the net past Fisher’s near post.

55 mins: A messy start to the half

Neither side have really gotten in control of it early in this second half. Possession is all over the place, but the hosts look a little more lively than they did in the first half - Whalley rolling one to Fisher from about 25 yards

Back underway here - one change for the hosts as Cosgrove is replaced by Bowman.

League One half time scores

HALF TIME: Shrewsbury 0-0 MK Dons

Not many chances here, but Dons have been in control for the vast majority. Eisa with the best chance, defence splitter from Parrott but he fired straight at the keeper. Dons the makers of their own dramas but nothing really threatening from Shrews.

37 mins: Best chance of the game

Best chance of the game for Eisa, defence opened up by Parrott but the striker fires straight at Marosi.

30 mins: Whalley goes into the book

Two daft challenges from Shrewsbury’s Shaun Whalley have earned him a way into the referee’s book.

Still not a lot Dons can do to break down the staunch Shrewsbury defence.

18 mins: Dons getting on top

Dons are starting to assert themselves on the game now, forcing Shrewsbury further and further back into their own area as they press on. Twine has had a couple of sights of goal, both deflected out for corners, while Parrott and Harvie are both seeing a lot of the ball too.

Nothing really for Fisher to do at the other end, other than falling on a tame Cosgrove effort.

10 mins: A patient start

Not much to write home about so far in the opening 10 minutes. A couple of corners for the visitors haven’t really tested keeper Marko Marosi, while Shrewsbury have had a corner of their own which came to nothing.

Both sides still feeling each other out at this stage.

After their anti-discrimination messages, MK Dons get the game underway.
