Having led through Scott Hogan’s first-half goal, their poor defensive display allowed the Saddlers to go on and claim their ninth win in a row, while Dons were left to rue a fifth defeat in the last seven games.
Here’s how we rated the players at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

5. Joe Tomlinson - 5
Never fully got into the game on the left. Had a decent first-half strike on target, but smashed one hopelessly wide in the second before being taken off | Jane Russell

6. Top Don: Aaron Nemane - 6
Had brief flashes, getting in behind on a couple of occasions. Set up both of Dons' goals, and looked like he could reform his relationship with Crowley but critically got caught under the cross which allowed Walsall to take the lead in the second-half | Jane Russell

7. Liam Kelly - 4.5
Again, showed in moments what he can do but they were too few and far between. Went missing in the second-half before being taken off | Jane Russell

8. Jay Williams - 6
Threw himself about early on, making his presence known in the game. Barked orders, gave Dons a different feel in the centre. | MK Dons
