Billy Sharp tapped in from close range as Sheffield United heaped more misery on MK Dons on Saturday.
Stefan Scougall became the sixth player to score inside the opening 10 minutes against Dons this season, swiping home after just four and a half minutes to give United the lead.
But after rallying at half time, Darren Potter finished a great team move to draw manager-less Dons level.
Parity would only last 14 minutes though as Dons’ defence switched off to allow Scougall to cross for Sharp to prod home a simple winner.
The result leaves Dons 20th in League 1.
