Ed Upson's brace helped MK Dons see off 10-man Coventry City 2-1 to get out of the League 1 drop zone on Saturday.
The Sky Blues had lost just once at the Ricoh Arena prior to Dons' visit, but found themselves trailing as Upson headed home Dean Lewington's 34th minute cross.
The lead would last just five minutes though as Ben Stevenson capitalised on David Martin's poor clearance with a superb finish to draw the sides level.
Stevenson would go from hero to villain for the home side though when he was shown a straight red card for a rash challenge on Lewington 15 minutes from the end.
And Dons made their numbers count when Upson swept home 10 minutes from the end to pick up Dons' first league win since October 1, lifting them out of the bottom four.
