THERE was an eight-goal thriller when the reigning New City Heating Premier Division champions took on the side currently top of the table on Sunday.

Stony Stratford haven’t had the best of times this season, but managed to hold Willen to an entertaining 4-4 draw. That point keeps Willen top of the table – a point clear of Olney Town who drew 1-1 with AFC Santander.

There were also eight goals when the bottom two Premier Division sides met as Stoke Hammond increased the gap between themselves and AFC Padbury to nine points with a 6-2 win.

With Coachmakers Arms having the weekend off, FC MMIX took their chance to close the gap at the top of Division One to a single point by beating Punjab United 3-1.

New Bradwell remain third after a 3-0 win against bottom side Stantonbury Social Elite, while New City Saints saw off Buckingham United 2-0 and Stanton Manor were 2-1 winners over Open University.

RJ Fitness made it seven wins out of eight in Division Two as they beat Inter Faith 2-0 to remain top of the table. But nearest rivals Southcott Village made sure their lead is only by goal difference after they saw off Bletchley Wanderers 2-1.

AFC Santander ‘B’ remain winless at the bottom after crashing 8-1 to Stacey Bushes, and the other game saw a 2-0 win for Swanfica against IDW.
