Nombe follows in the footsteps of fellow academy products Matthew Sorinola and David Kasumu in penning new contracts at the club this season.

“I’m really pleased to sign and extend my future here,” Nombe told iFollow MK Dons.

“I’m happy here at the club – I’ve been here since I was 11-years-old so this is my home. I’m happy this is all sorted, so now I can focus on my football and continuing to developing and help the team.

“Our focus, as a team, is on securing our status in the division and then we’ll look to push forward next season. We have so much room to grow as a team and I’m excited about what we can do as a group.”

Manager Russell Martin added: “It’s been a breakthrough season for Sam and he’s earned this new contract.

“Bringing players through the Academy is what this club is all about, and Sam is the latest to come through and establish himself in the first team.

“He still has a lot to work on, and he knows that, but the club thinks really highly of him and we hope he can continue to develop and fulfil his potential with us.”
