Injury-hit Newport Pagnell Town's FA Cup adventure ended before it really began as they were knocked out of the Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday, going down 1-0 to Biggleswade United.
Without eight first teamers for the visit of United, manager Darren Lynch pulled on his boots for the first time since 2014, and could have netted the opener but hit over in the early stages.
Going in at the break goal-less, United’s Sergio Lopez scored the only goal of the game seven minutes into the second half, and were content to see the game out with a midfield battle, ending Swans’ brief entry in the Cup.
