Though the League One campaign does not start until September 12 away at Doncaster, time is ticking on having replacements in before league season, Executive Director Andrew Cullen admitted none of their bids for players have been accepted yet.

He said: "We've identified a number of different targets, a number of them we've been working on throughout the summer. There are a number of other targets Russ has identified we're working hard on now. We've put in bids over the last few weeks and days, but those bids still haven't been accepted.

"We'll continue to see what we can do, but we will not buy players for the sake of buying them. We have a long list of people we want to bring in.

"There will be activity, and the is still a long time before the window is closed. We've still got six weeks to go. There will be a number of things which will happen."
