No player likes being dropped, but both Warren O'Hora and George Williams impressed manager Russell Martin in the way they reacted to being left out of the MK Dons side.

O'Hora missed three games when Williams returned to the starting 11 but regained his spot on Tuesday night for the 2-0 win over Wigan.

Williams was at fault for Blackpool's sole goal of the game at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, and paid the price by being left out by Martin on Tuesday, with O'Hora taking over with aplomb.

Rather than dwell on being left out though, Martin praised the duo for taking the news graciously.

"(O'Hora's) attitude is incredible for a young guy. I had a chat with him about leaving him out but he showed the attitude we wanted. He said he would get his head down and work and take it.

"It was the same with George. I spoke to him (on Monday) about it and he agreed he wasn't as good as he needs to be and he waits for his chance now. That's the competition we need."

O'Hora put in one of his best performances of the season in defence against Wigan, with the Latics restricted to a handful of half chances in the final 15 minutes with Dons already two goals to the good.

Martin added: "Warren was brilliant. He hasn't given us a bad game really. He's got a lot more to come, there's a lot to work on but I'm really pleased for him. "

"I screamed at him towards the end because I'm so demanding of him, and he turned to me and said “we've won gaffer, relax!”
