Warren O'Hora suffered a third concussion of the season against Stevenage and will not be a part of MK Dons' squad to take on Portsmouth tomorrow.

The on-loan Brighton defender received a shove in the back on Tuesday night as he went up for a header, and collided with his goalkeeper Laurie Walker where he suffered the injury.

Sam Nombe too hobbled out of the 3-2 win at the Lamex Stadium and will return to training for Dons today (Friday) in a bid to be a part of the travelling party heading down to Fratton Park.

"Sam will train today but we think he will be fine," Dons boss Russell Martin confirmed. "But for Warren, it's his third concussion already this season. He's a complete warrior but he is paying the price for it at the moment. We have to go through the protocols but he won't be with us on Saturday.

"I feel for him because he was playing really well on Tuesday before that, so now we have to monitor it for a week and I hope he comes back the week after.2

Louis Thompson played his first minutes of the season on Tuesday too after suffering an ankle injury against Arsenal in pre-season. After making a handful of appearances on loan from Norwich last season too, Martin says the 25-year-old is looking a completely different player to the one the fans saw during his first spell/

He said: "He was nervous at the start, but I thought he was excellent, strong, energetic, athletic, we know he's quality on the ball. He's come back a different Louis this season. Last year, he was holding on to a lot of anxiety about his body after not playing a lot of football at Shrewsbury. This year, he has come in as a breath of fresh air. His performances were picking up a head of steam before lockdown, but he looks fresh, energised and in good condition. He will be a big asset for us. Over the next few weeks, I'm sure he will be back into the side and he will prove his worth.
