Concussion and head injuries are still a big talking point in football, and Warren O'Hora is thankful they are being taken seriously.

After picking up his most recent concussion away at Stevenage a few weeks ago - his third of the season - assistant manager Luke Williams praised O'Hora's bravery, claiming the defender would 'head filing cabinets' it if meant keeping it out of Dons' net.The Irish defender though joked he would not be doing that any time soon and praised Dons' medical staff for ensuring he was able to recover safely.

"Safety has to come first. It's a game of football at the end of the day, and your health is your wealth. I got concussion with the international team and then one against Stevenage which wasn';t ideal in a short space of time.

"In fairness to the club and the physios, they looked after me and made sure I went through the right protocols and I was sidelined for a bit. But I'm back now with a bit of a scar, a war-wound, and I'm sure it will be the first of many."

O'Hora returned to the starting line-up on Tuesday night and helped see Dons to a comfortable 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic at Stadium MK. Manager Russell Martin has been full of praise for the defender, on loan from Brighton this season, highlighting the 21-year-old's mentality to being left out of the side in recent weeks. And O'Hora himself said he was enjoying his time at the club, and is delighted with the faith Martin has had in him since signing.

"It has been great since getting here," O'Hora continued. "The manager and staff have taken me under their wing, I feel like I'm improving every day and I'm really enjoying it so far.

"The manager from the start sounds like he believes in me and what I'm capable of, and thinks I can push on at this level and I could not ask for much more."
