After an indifferent start to life at MK Dons, Warren O'Hora has grown in stature in defence alongside two of the game's most experienced players.

In his first loan spell away from Brighton, the Irish defender has become a regular for Russell Martin's side next to Dean Lewington and Richard Keogh - and he is loving every minute of it.

O'Hora missed most of October after a series of concussions suffered in the early part of the campaign but hadn't really made much of an impression on the side as he, and indeed Dons, struggled for consistency.

But returning to the fold towards the end of the month, the 21-year-old has not looked back. Alongside Lewington and Keogh, who have amassed more than 1,200 appearances during their careers, O'Hora says he is learning all the time from the duo, and is enjoying the camaraderie of the dressing room.

"I'm loving it, it's been a great experience so far," he said. "Everyone chips in for everyone here, and that's what I love about things here.

"It's great having Richard Keogh and Dean Lewington beside me, and George Williams there as well. I'm learning a lot from the gaffer and the two boys at the back with me. Hopefully I can keep pushing on, learning and improving."

His manager too is delighted with how O'Hora - out of contract at the Amex at the end of the season - has bounced back from the 'tricky' start to the season to becoming one of Dons' most consistent performers of late.

Russell Martin said: "Warren is on his first loan, very young and after a tricky start has been exceptional. I'm really pleased with him. His mentality is great, his attitude is brilliant and his performances recently have been top drawer, and he's consistent with it.

"He wants to learn and get better. He's very critical of himself, he analyses his performances a lot. On the whole, this defence is getting better and better."
