Olney Town crashed out of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup fourth round after losing to FC Wendover on penalties on Saturday.
With a place in the fifth round at stake, neither side could be separated as the tie went the distance after a 2-2 draw.
It meant the game would be decided by spot kicks, and Wendover would go on to triumph 5-4 to sent the Nurserymen out of the cup.
This weekend, fourth place Olney will look to get their UCL Division 1 season back on track as they take on league leaders Bugbrooke St Michael.
And they return to cup action next Tuesday night at East Street as they take on city rivals SSML Division 2 side Unite MK in the Buckingham Senior Charity Cup semi final first leg.
