Olney Town make solid start to the season

They started with a 2-2 draw on Saturday against Blackstones. Vinny Shrieves gave Olney the lead but were hauled back just before the break as Blackstones equalised.

Olney stepped up a gear in the second half and took the lead with a neat Nick Bines finish after a great team move.

But with three minutes remaining , Blackstones snatched another last-gasp equaliser for a share of the spoils.

Then on Tuesday night, Olney picked up their first win , beating Wellingborough Whitworth 3-0 on the road.
