The COVID-19 pandemic is, as yet, having no knock-on effects to MK Dons' plans to build their training ground at the National Bowl.

Plans were unveiled last September after the club came to terms with MK Council to take over the music venue, to rennovate it and to begin building a state-of-the-art training ground there.

But with the pandemic outbreak, the impact on Dons' plans has been fairly minimal so far.

Executive Director Andrew Cullen said: "Things are continuing. We're not affected by the timing of this because the plans were due to go in at the end of the years.

"Some studies need to be completed, but we're still aiming to get the planning in place by the end of the year – that was always the case.

"We were looking to get the first time in first, then the academy and community schemes. In terms of the implications on that, we are seeing an impact on cash flow, so some of the things might need to be put back. But this is having no immediate impact."
