Pompey had to dig deep to keep Dons out, says Jackett
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett admitted his side were unable to impose themselves on the game despite clinging on to beat MK Dons 2-1 on Saturday.

Hide AdAfter Tom Naylor's first minute opener, Scott Fraser saw Dons level 10 minutes later, only for Ellis Harrison to make it 2-1 on 25 minutes from the penalty spot.
Dons though piled on the pressure during the second half and had 19 shots on goal but could not find a way past Craig MacGillivray in the Pompey net.
Speaking to the Portsmouth News, Jackett said: "I felt we had to dig deep, particularly from 2-1 up. It was an excellent defensive display.

Hide Ad"They had one chance in the second half, Craig made a great save, while we had a really big chance with Ellis Harrison and their keeper made a good save with his legs as well.
"We had to dig deep, we had to defend, we probably gave away too many free-kicks, there were a lot of balls into our box, and a lot of corners as well against us.
"We really had to defend. Today was rearguard action where we defended superbly. There are different ways of winning.
"Would we have liked to have imposed ourselves more on the game? Of course we would."
